Hamara Footpath, a co
mmunity group that works with street children, is organising its second garage sale to raise funds for its work. The group organised its first garage sale in August 2010, raising Rs 80,000 rupees in two days, which helped pay for educational classes and sports and dance classes that the group organises for street children in Churchgate.
The sale will have collected trendy women’s clothes collected from various sources like fashion designers, boutiques and barely worn clothes from people’s cupboards to sell. 100% of the money raised will go towards supporting Hamara Footpath’s activities.
Designers like Divya Anand, Masaba Gupta, Swapnil Shinde, Varsha Chandnani have donated their creations along with other fashionistas. There will also be live performances in the evening by Agnee, Aazin Printer & Stuart DaCosta (of Something Relevant), Nikhil D’Souza, Pia Sukanya and Ankur Tewari have volunteered to perform in the evenings.
Masseuse from Metta Foot Reflexology Spa (which employs only visually challenged masseuse) will be offering foot massages at discounted prices.
